  If it doesn't involve parroting back from a paragraph, they haven't got a clue. At the last meeting I went to, I made a substitute CO virtually shit his pants by asking if the new light from the recent AGM redefining the identity of the F&D slave means you now accept apostolic succession. They really hated it when a lowly study knew more about their religion than they did.

  new book printed in Germany, not wallkill-why?

  i just recieved a copy of the new book "imitate their faith" and notice it was printed in the german branch, not at wallkill.. why would they ship books here (the us) from germany instead of printing them in wallkill?.

  the new tracts were printed in canada.. is something going on at the wallkill printery that would would hinder book production there?.

  I was the Hardy Kruger of the congregation, "The One That Got Away". Despite being invisible to 90% of them, I think our resident anointed, and maybe a couple of other pioneers, had plans for me. A study who you could trust to cross the street by themselves, single, self employed, multi-lingual, a member of Mensa and still with his own teeth and the posessor of a penis, I'm sure I would have been of use to them. If only they could find a way to kick my arse into the baptismal pond.

  Pretty sure my study conductor is glad to see the back of me though. I made him think too hard. When that happened it smelt like bacon frying.

  these are just some of the things i was told studying with the witnesses in 1959 .in 1960 we got married in one of the few kh`s that existed in melb.at the time .and we were required to pay/contribute to the bro.who conducted the service.. i was led to beleive in my studys that smoking was a no,no ,so i gave up ,learning later that wasnt the case ,the ministerial servant book study conductor in our group still did smoke.

  ( the ban on smoking didnt come in till later on ).

  while they may not have passed the collection plate around , they did on a regular time frame appeal for donations from the platform for funds to offset the renting of a hall , my first congregation , or the upkeep /maintenance of a kh or for the"world wide work of witnessing" .

  if you google 'vatican and aliens', you will find a number of references to vatican officials making positive remarks about extraterrestrials - including a few who outrightly assert that they exist.

  in addition, the vatican is interested in observatory time used for locating earth-like planets.. in summary, it looks like they wish to be prepared, come what may.

  Speaking as a study who saw the shite, I can suggest you tailor your approach to the individual students' predelictions. If they have family, especially children, highlight the paedophilia issue. Show them the real BOE letters if you can. If they are spiritually minded, show them the twisted scriptures, how the Bible has been manipulated to fit the WT agenda. If they are intelligent, or have an appreciation of learning, use the anti-education rhetoric, how they laud ignorance as a virtue. If they are of a charitable, compassionate nature towards their fellow humans, show how we're all going to die horribly when the Big A kicks off and how the WTS revels in the idea of 7 billion worldlies being dispatched by their loving god.

  Whatever issue you think will best get through to them, I'm sure the WTS has shot themselves in the foot with it at some time, so good luck.

  so you found out it is all bs but due to family and friends you don't want to be disfellowshipped and shunned.

  you have to go to these rediculous meetings maybe even engage in corporation sponsored magazine drives to get the propaganda into the homes of your neighbor in hopes of making another corporation zombie mystified by childish magical thinking, of a jealous deity that wants you to work for the corporation finacial interest or else die for your lack of corporation loyalty.. it is a stressful sitiuation with all kinds of trip wires one has to beware of in order not to be heading into some back room kangaroo court where obediance to the almighty corporation is the bottom line, and a fair hearing of the facts is last on the list of importance.. one consolation is that one may eventually get friends and family out of this demanding and destructive cult with patients and passage of time.. so what ideas would you like to pass on to readers?

  what are some of subversive activities one can engage in while stuck in this nasty bit of mandatory corporation exercises of preaching, selling, and building?.

  Being the lowest form of life in the JW food chain, a mere study, gave me a bit more scope for mischief than most. This trick drove my tame MS, brother Ned Flanders, completely nuts. Pick an example of towering JW dumbassery, whether it be Stalinist micro-management, doctrine requiring mental gymnastics to understand or a good old fashioned scandal. Then bring it up in conversation, but don't seem to openly criticise mother org, do so as an honest, sincere dubbie trying to make sense of something senseless.

  Last time I used it was when they announced the 10 pence / 15 cent levy per publisher for 17 months, to pay for the missionaries convention. I asked why would they impose that extra hardship on the publishers globally, 10p might not seem much to you, but most growth is in developing countries and it could be a big deal to them. Why impose this burden to pay for a convention that's going to happen anyway, is already paid for, and will bring in more than enough in donations at the time. They've just sold the Bossert Hotel for $80,000,000 so what do they need the extra $18,000,000 for?

  Unless it's to pay the settlement in the Candace Conti lawsuit (Brother Ned hadn't even heard of this, let alone that they lost big-time). Perhaps the GB don't want to pay it with their own money, so they've come up with this idea to get the poor bloody infantry to pick up the tab instead? I just don't understand it, why would they act this way if they're guided by holy spirit?

  This then gave me the perfect opening to "educate" brother Ned in all the sordid machinations of the org in the Conti case, but always from the angle of someone confused by how what the org says and what it does doesn't correlate. Bro Ned went into the default cult defensive mode, but when he tried to defend it, I just agreed with him, saying ...yes, I know it shouldn't happen, but it did. Something went very wrong... and so forth. Agreeing with him completely threw him off his game, they may be briefed to deal with opposition, but when you throw these clusterf***s at them and AGREE with them, they can't cope.
